Buckingham Steel climbers are made from select high strength steel, making them incredibly durable. The 2-3/4" (64mm) spurs have replaceable gaffs and work great for general tree work. The 3-1/2" (89mm) spurs have permanently fixed gaffs and are recommended for thick barked trees such as redwood and old growth fir. Both spurs have top sleeves that will adjust from 15-3/4" (40cm) to 18-3/4" (48cm) to calf length. Both climbers also include bottom nylon leg straps. Weight is approximately 4.6 lbs. per leg iron and strap.

Petzl Grillon

The Petzl Grillon (pronounced gree-yawn) is an adjustable lanyard. The cam device feeds smoothly over the low stretch kernmantle rope, and locks when a load is applied. The Grillon can also release line with body weight against the cam, a distinct advantage over rope grabs. Lanyard is also fitted with a protective sleeve to avoid abrasion from tree bark. Lanyard ends are stitched and fitted with plastic connectors and an aluminum rope snap on one end. **NOTE:** Requires a carabiner to attach to the saddle.
